The Property Appraiser  of Palm Beach county is reporting that  property  values are raising and Delray Beach is over 10% . (Mayor Cary Glicktein attributed this to the surge in values on Atlantic Avenue). This is consistent with recent price raises in property value. Please keep in mind that homestead properties have a cap of  how much the tax can increase so the % increase in Delray is probably higher.

The question is with the values raising should the proceeds be used to offset deferred projects like fixing roads bridge and schools or whether to use the proposed increase from 6 to 7% to pay for those improvements.

The fact that property values are raising also begs the question of affordability.

There are low down payment loans and down payment assistance proprams however you still must keep your payments in a comfortable zone that you can afford.
