The Sunshine State is a glorious place that is welcoming to anyone who desires to move there. Property doesn’t seem so expensive, the people are nice, and the scenes are absolutely beautiful. Most of what there is to discuss about Florida is never bad. Florida feels more like a dream, honestly. However, it is always good to discuss things you may need to know before moving to any new place. I do assure you, most of these topics will concrete your decision in moving. Let’s pack up the car and hit the road!

You really get to know a place based off of the weather. It is one of the main deciding factors of where we live. The good news is that Florida is fantastic with staying warm all year round. They do call it the Sunshine State after all. There are just a few things to keep in mind at all time. There are tons of humidity and thunderstorms. The humidity cannot be escaped outside. The best way to really enjoy it is to embrace the ocean, or to wear loose shirts. Sweats and heavy clothing will be dreadful! You can also expect the humidity to be a bit easier to deal with in the winter. As far as the summer storms go, it is always best to carry an umbrella, or a rain outfit with you at all times. Thunderstorms are so incredibly unpredictable in Florida, but one thing stays constant - they all rain an incredible amount for the few minutes they last. But hey, who doesn’t like the occasional rainy weather?

Beach and Pools

One of the major perks of living in Florida is that there is generally a pool or beach always near you. This means every weekend can be a relaxing one next to the water partnered with the sun! Just be sure to always have the sunscreen on deck. One thing to note is that the tans usually turn out very great! The moisture from the humidity in the air keeps your skin constantly moisturized. This leads to a healthier, deeper tan. Thank you, Florida!

Traffic can only seem heavy near places like Disney World, Orlando, and Miami. Even going to these places is more laid back than most of the other state’s traffic. If you really want to see what your commute times would look like, enter in the address you are thinking of moving to, and the address of your work and navigate the commute time. Nobody wants to sit in a car forever. Luckily, Florida is pretty great at getting you parked and out of the car quicker. Not to mention, the roads are very nice, and there are plenty of opportunities to make the most of your commute!

It is important to note that one of the best places to live can catch you off guard with culture at first. Down in Orlando there is a lot of Disney and tourist culture. This can seem good and bad depending on how you look at it. On one side, you will have tourists coming in often and taking up an overwhelming amount of space. But on the other, you will get to meet people from all over the world, get the best customer service from most places you go to, get exclusive deals to major attractions, and feel the happiness from everyone coming together. Don’t be surprised if you go to your local Wawa station and see someone dressed up in bright colors or themed clothing. They are most likely heading to work, and will be super nice to you if you approach them! It is the magic of Orlando!

There are many other things that make Florida great, such as fresh seafood and the fact that family and friends will often come visit you. However, it all boils down to how you like it and your personal taste of the area. Hopefully, you find the perfect spot! Good luck.
